RENEWED FLYING SAUCER INVESTIGATION?

The Australian reported that a group of 19 former pilots and government officials want the US Government to investigate UFOs again.
Fife Symington, former governor of Arizona and air force pilot, said,
"We want the US Government to stop perpetuating the myth that all UFOs
can he explained away in down-to-earth conventional terms. Our country
needs to reopen its official investigation that it shut down in 1969."

The former pilots bolstered their demand with several examples of claimed inexplicable sightings.
The scientific hunt for ET, which has gone on for decades without success, took on new intensity recently. The Weekend Australian reported:
The most far-reaching
search for extra-terrestrial life has begun as an array of radio
telescopes were activated in northern California.
Forty-two radio dishes—part of the Allen Telescope
Array—started collecting data from the furthest reaches of the universe

The report quoted Seth Shostak of the Search for Extraterrestrial
Intelligence (SETI) Institute: "The ATA ... is the first major
telescope in the world built specifically for undertaking a search for
extraterrestrial intelligence."
