DEAN DOWLING
Dean Dowling is a retired physics lecturer (Ballarat University).
The book he is displaying is The Malleus Maleficarum (The Hammer for Witches) originally written in 1486.
During a question session after a public debate between a philosopher and a Catholic scholar at Adelaide University in April, Mr Dowling held up the book and criticized church-approved attrocities.
